5 months old...OH MY!

Yesterday was my 1st Mother's Day and my little man turned 5 months old! I had an amazing Mother's Day too! The best gift of all was waking up and being able to cuddle and hold my little guy! Motherhood is the best job ever! Yes it is hard and tiring, but the moment he looks up at me none of that matters! I am sooo blessed! With a perfect little guy and a WONDERFUL husband! and of course with LOVING families!

11 days old!

5 Months old!

Seth is getting soooo big! He went and had his 4 month shots and doctor visit on the 4th of May(we are a little late due to insurance issues), but he weighed in at 17lbs 7oz and was 25 3/4in long! He was in the 90th percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height, his head circumference was in the 75-90th percentile also.

Before the shots!

A couple days before his 5th month birth anniversary (lol!) his first tooth broke thru on the bottom. Then the next day a surprise tooth popped up right next to it. It was a surprise because we have seen and felt the other one coming for at least a month but not this one, it showed up unannounced...lol!

OH yes and he has successfully started eating his rice cereal twice a day. We started when right before he turned 4 months old but he HATED it. So we gave it a break for a week and a half and then I tried again. I made it really thin like breast milk and he ate it (he made a funny face after every bite but kept on eating) then I started to thicken it it up and he gets all excited now when he sees the bowl and spoon! In a couple of weeks we will be introducing the "orange" veggies!

Seth has experienced a lot of "firsts" in his 4th month of life. His first Easter, first Disneyland trip, found his feet, started eating cereal, his and my first Mother's day, and his first 2 teeth! Seth is pretty close to rolling over too. My Love is growing WAY to fast for me! But I LOVE watching him grow. So contradicting huh! I'll end with some more pictures of our "bubba boogie"!

4 MONTHS old!!!

Mr. Seth turned 4 months old on the 10th. Man I can't believe it. He is beginning to hit so many milestones. He has found his feet, he has a few teeth starting to push their way out, he is starting to make sounds that sound more like...dadadada, and sooo much more! He loves to smile and laugh, and is beginning to become a pro at faking his cry and the best one...He SLEEPS thru the night!!!! Praise the Lord!!!!!!

We are excited that the weather is warming up, so now we can be outside more and he can begin to explore nature(with his eyes, nose and maybe sometimes touch..lol! ;o))

My first day back

Today was my first day back at work. Well part time, like 3 hours. But it was my first time away from Seth for that long. WELL actually that is a lie. When I had mastitis, I did have to go to Urgent care and we all know those are not 30 minute trips. So this was my first "non urgent care" separation from Seth. My mom and sister watched him for me and well I guess I have been neglecting him(my mother said jokingly, of course I don't neglect him). My mom said he had horrible cradle cap (which for some reason I have not noticed, I mean he has a WHOLE head of hair and I have only seen minimal flaking) and was dirty behind the ears (he is a boy for goodness sake..lol!). So my mom and sister lathered up his hair and scalp with baby oil and went to work. I guess Tristan was there "comb rinser" and would take the comb to the bath tub and rinse it off. Well when I got there he was asleep with a perfect slick Mohawk. I don't think I will be able to get that baby oil out for a couple of months! He did look adorable if I do say so myself! Here are a few pics!

12 Weeks Old!!

Time is sure flying by! I can't believe my little boy is 12 weeks old!!!!

Seth is doing amazing. He eats like a champ..lol! He is smiling and talking and now has a fixation of watching TV. Not something we purposely planned. Ever since he had been able to see object far away, his eyes always gravitate toward the TV. It is probably the flashing of many colors and noises. So we have introduced Baby Einstein DVDs. They are great for when Mommy needs to take a shower. Today I put him in his swing and stuck it in front of the the TV and played the DVD. Ran and took a shower and as I was drying off I could hear Seth talking to the TV.

Oh yeah and Seth totally loves little kids. He will smile and talk up a storm to any child. He loves to watch them jump around also.

For awhile he tricked us and started to sleep from 11pm to about 6:30-7am. But that has recently changed. He still usually will go to sleep about 10-11pm and wake up at 3-4am. Still a good 5 hours but the extra 2 hours would be nice. Unfortuntely I usually still have to get up and pump so I don't really get that full 5 hour sleep, or 7 if he decides to sleep longer. I keep telling my self it is worth it for him to get breastmilk instead of formula for now. However when I go back to work we'll see if my mentality will change.

Very recently too Seth has started to laugh when we tickle him or "play boxing" with Seth and Jakob or Seth and one of Tristan's stuffed animals. It is soooo cute!

Here are a few pictures:

2 months old...

I can't believe how fast this past 2 months has gone! It is bittersweet! Bitter=he is getting so big, not a little newborn anymore, Sweet= his milestones! Smiles, talking, etc....

The past 2 months has been a rollercoaster. Mostly for me and recovery. It took me about 3 weeks to recover from having him. (ie. stiches and so forth has to heal) Plus I developed some other problems during the first three weeks...I would share what it is but it is TMI for all my viewers..lol. BUT then week 4 I got Mastitsis! That is soooo horrible. So it took me a week or so to heal from it, then BOOM I get a cold. Another week to heal. Then double BOOM, Mastitsis is back! On the other side!. Man can a woman get a break! She has a baby to care for! lol! So needless to say my body is not cooperating in the healthy department.

Seth on the other hand has been improving very much. At first he was a screamer. I think it is due to the fact we were underfeeding him, but with an increase in food, he has improved much. He still screams but mostly it is if we waited to long to feed him or he is extremely tired. He is smiling soooo much now and talking up a storm. We have a little IHOME 2Go (like a mini boom box that you put your ipod in) and we play music for him at night. So last night at the 1am feeding, I fed and I rocked him to sleep and as soon as I put him down he woke up. I put the music on and was singing along. He decided sleep can wait, and sang along baby style! It made my heart melt! Being a mom is really amazing! Everytime I look at him and I am sooo grateful that I have a healthy, happy baby!

Brett has been an amazing dad! He doesn't hesitate to change his diapers, which I am extremely grateful for! Luckily tho breastfed babies diapers are not as bad as formula fed ones. Brett LOVES being a daddy and Seth LOVES his daddy! We are truly a blessed family!
